Rhodian Group, a hub for Australian underwriting agencies with backing from global distributor Amwins, has unveiled its second agency – Batch Underwriting.
Batch, specialising in shared equity accident and health, enters the market six months after the launch of Rhodian's inaugural agency, Halo Underwriting, in July 2023.
Founder and CEO Andrew Batchelar leads Batch, representing a cohort of entrepreneurs leveraging the Rhodian platform for agency development.

With a robust background boasting over 20 years of A&H expertise, Batchelar steers the agency toward the corporate and larger SME segments in Australia.
The initial product lineup encompasses corporate travel, group personal accident and sickness, journey cover, and volunteer cover. Backed by Lloyds of London, Batch is poised for rapid expansion, offering a comprehensive A&H suite to brokers and businesses seeking quality products and efficient service.
Rhodian CEO Simon Lightbody expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, which extends to a close working relationship with Amwins Global Risks and Lloyd's, a strategic alignment aimed at delivering a robust product offering to the market.
