Orange Sky Australia principal partner QBE will participate in the charity’s The Sudsy Challenge next month.
The challenge, which is in its second year, will see participants wear the same clothes for three days from September 03 to 05 in support of Australians experiencing homelessness.
Several QBE teams, from marketing to HR, have signed up. Also taking part is QBE-owned underwriting agency Elders insurance.
“As soon as I found out about our partnership with Orange Sky, I put my hand up to volunteer,” shared QBE product partner for specialist services, Craig Wigginton.
“I love how they use something as basic as laundry and showers to provide a space for genuine human connection to take place, and I want to support that however I can.”
Orange Sky has 31 services across Australia that offer not only access to free laundry and warm showers but also meaningful conversation.
“By taking part in the challenge,” said the for-purpose organisation, “you’ll be helping to ensure that everyone has a place where they can feel welcome and connected.”
