QBE Insurance Australia has launched a request for proposal (RFP) for the provision of insurance building consultancy and engineering services across its personal and commercial lines. This follows previous RFPs for the provision of building repair and restoration services as part of its ongoing strategic review of its property and motor claims divisions.
Jon Fox, chief claims officer at QBE, said the insurer is looking for strategic partnerships with businesses that can provide excellent customer service to its customers during times of need.
“The claims experience is a critical touchpoint for our customers, one that requires us to be supported by businesses that share our customer-first ambition and will strive alongside us to make their journey to recovery as seamless as possible,” Fox said.
“Evolving customer expectations mean that increased quality of insurance services is more highly desired than ever. We're cultivating a network of service partners who can help us meet our customer promise and exceed their expectations.”
QBE is calling for building consultants and engineers to register by completing the pre-qualification questionnaire on the QBE website from 9am AEST April 12 to May 03, 2021. The insurer will then shortlist suppliers and invite them to complete the RFP, with the invitations due to be issued in late May 2021. The new panel is expected to be in place by August 2021.
Fox added: “A detailed and comprehensive process will help us identify the most high-quality, cost-effective vendors of building consulting and engineering services for private and commercial properties, alongside their capacity to support QBE's distribution partners across all areas of Australia.”
