QBE has become the first authorised provider on iCare’s claims management platform.
First launched in 2018 in response to employer feedback, the Authorised Provider Model creates choice of claims management service provider for eligible large businesses and is founded on iCare’s “core customer service principles” and technology platforms.
"We have been working together in partnership with iCare to be ready to deliver customer-centric services from 1 May 2020. Our team is highly engaged and excited to have the opportunity to support employers and injured workers across NSW,” said Rachel Elmes, newly appointed General Manager of Managed Fund Claims for QBE.
Likewise, Group Executive of Personal Injury Claims of iCare, Beth Uehling, said: “The Authorised Provider Model will enable us to deliver consistent, sustainable and empathetic claims services, while also responding to employers' desire for choice. We are thrilled that QBE will be part of our journey and story."
As the first of three authorised providers to go live on the iCare technology platform this year, QBE is said to offer consistent and sustainable claims services that deliver customer-centric experiences and fair outcomes for workers and employers.
It comes after Allianz and GIO commenced as authorised providers for iCare on 1 February, with both organisations managing new claims through their individual platforms but will move to iCare’s claim management platform later this year.
