The Council of Queensland Insurance Brokers enjoyed a double celebration last week, celebrating both Queensland day and its Allrounder Awards on Friday.
Around 340 members and business partners from all over the country joined the association in celebrating the winners.
Madeline Barra, from North Queensland Insurance Brokers Townsville, was awarded the Peter McCarthy CQIB Young Professional of the Year.
Allianz Australia won Allrounder Insurer of the Year, for the fourth year in a row.
Allianz also won the Claims Service Award.
The Allrounder joint runners-up were
QBE Australia and
CGU Insurance.
CGU won Domestic Insurer Award.
The Mick Lambert Barker Award, presented to the CQIB Business Partner’s staff member for “Service above and beyond”, was awarded to Darren Clien of
Vero Insurance.
GT Insurance and
UAA were joint winners of the Underwriting Agency Award.
