The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) has announced the NSW/ACT finalists for the Young Professional Broker of the Year award, which recognises the broking industry’s rising stars under the age of 35.

Competing for the Vero-sponsored broking award are Scott Hardiman of Bruce Chiene Insurance Brokers, Ben Rubio of GSA Insurance Brokers, and Tim Richmond of Oxley Insurance Brokers.

NIBA CEO Dallas Booth and Yusuf Alexander, state manager for NSW/ACT at Vero, congratulated the finalists.

“We received a significant number of nominations this year, all of which were of an extremely high calibre,” Booth said. “We're thrilled to acknowledge Scott, Ben, and Tim for their outstanding contribution to the broking industry.”

“Vero is delighted to provide ongoing support to the next generation of broking leaders across the country,” Alexander added.

The NSW/ACT region winners will be announced at the NIBA NSW gala lunch on July 12 at the Hyatt Regency in Sydney. The state winners will then compete for the Warren Tickle Memorial Award for Young Professional Broker of the Year, which will be awarded at the 2019 NIBA Convention on the Gold Coast in October.
