The National Insurance Brokers Association (
NIBA) has announced two Queensland regional awardees, recognising their excellence in the profession of insurance broking.
Maria Newman of
Marsh was hailed as Broker of the Year, while Stacey Lloyd, also from
Marsh, was acclaimed as Young Professional Broker of the Year. The two have qualified for the national awards, which will be revealed in September.

Dallas Booth commented: “We wish Maria and Stacey the best of luck in the national awards, and we congratulate all the finalists who exemplify the highest standards of professionalism and competence in the broking industry.

The Broker of the Year Award, sponsored by
QBE, honours an individual broker who is considered an inspirational role model for the insurance brokering community by demonstrating excellent performance in the profession and client advocacy.
Meanwhile, the Young Professional Broker of the Year Award is sponsored by
Vero and recognises the rising stars of the broking industry under the age of 35.
