Last week, Fintech Australia announced the launch of a new industry association dedicated to the advancement of insurance innovation and insurtech start-ups - Insurtech Australia. This week, the start of the new association’s “incredible journey with insurtech” is showcased with the release of Fintech Australia’s new member ecosystem map, which illustrates the significant growth in the fintech industry in just four months.
The map is a visual platform that features the 162 logos of Fintech Australia members – representing a 36% rise in member logos compared to the June version of the map and just over a quarter of all fintech companies in the country – and includes its new division of Insurtech Australia.

Insurtech Australia co-lead Brenton Charnley welcomed his association’s placement on the ecosystem map.
“We are on the start of an incredible journey with insurtech and this map helps illustrate and showcase our founding start-up members,” Charnley said. “One of our key projects next year will be to create an ecosystem map of the entire insurtech community, including our partners, corporate members and startups, to bring to life the collaborative culture we are building in the Australian insurtech industry.”
The map was published at the start of Intersekt – Australia’s inaugural fintech festival being held in Melbourne, from October 27 to November 03.
