Moray & Agnew has bolstered its leadership team with 17 promotions across Australia, marking the firm’s January 2025 promotion round. The appointments cover various practice areas and locations, ranging from partner to senior associate levels.

Notably, the Canberra office welcomed Vanessa Parkins (pictured above) to the partnership. With 15 years of experience in personal injury litigation, Parkins has represented numerous Commonwealth agencies in both general and merit review matters.

Alongside this appointment, three lawyers have been elevated to special counsel roles: 

  • Melissa Kincaid, Melbourne, specialising in commercial litigation
  • Gary King, Brisbane, focusing on public liability insurance
  • Josh McDiarmid, Cairns, practising in construction and projects

Thirteen lawyers have been promoted to senior associate roles: 

  • Jackson Clarence, Newcastle, motor vehicle insurance
  • Joseph Everdell, Canberra, government
  • Lauren Hancock, Sydney, motor vehicle insurance
  • Victoria Jamieson, Canberra, public liability insurance
  • Julian Minter, Melbourne, commercial litigation
  • Joshua Murgatroyd, Newcastle, construction and projects
  • Ishan Patel, Melbourne, owners corporation
  • Estelle Sarra, Melbourne, employment
  • Jesse Thomson, Sydney, life insurance
  • Cherrie Tippet, Sydney, workers’ compensation
  • Emilie van Baalen, Melbourne, corporate and commercial
  • Emma Wallace, Sydney, motor vehicle insurance
  • Jordan Widjaya, Sydney, motor vehicle insurance
