Michelle Dawson, a highly skilled workplace relations lawyer with over 20 years of legal experience, has joined Moray & Agnew as a partner in its Newcastle office.
Dawson, who joined Moray & Agnew from DWF, advises and represents clients across all legal aspects of employment, industrial relations, workplace, and anti-discrimination. She is active on the Law Institute of Victoria's Accredited Specialisation Scheme's Workplace Relations Advisory Committee.
Moray & Agnew Newcastle managing partner Sean O'Sullivan commented: “There is great synergy between Michelle's expertise and our existing workplace law practice, led by partner Elizabeth Radley. Outside of her extensive legal knowledge and experience, Michelle's clients most value her no-nonsense, straight-talking, easy-to-understand, practical, and outcome-focused advice and representation. Her ethos and approach align with ours perfectly.”
Nick Duggal, the head of the national workplace practice at Moray & Agnew, added: “We’re delighted to have someone of Michelle's calibre on board. Michelle joining follows several recent senior appointments across our national workplace team, reflecting our concerted focus on growing our national workplace law offering.”
Special counsel Emily Dempster and associate Nicole Davis, who were both on Dawson's previous team at DWF, will also join Moray & Agnew in the Newcastle office.
Dawson commented: “My team and I are excited to be part of such an inclusive, welcoming firm as Moray & Agnew. It's a great fit for my clients who – as employers in sectors like water, government, transport, energy, conservation, not-for-profit, manufacturing, and tourism – can also have access to the broad range of other commercial and insurance legal services that the firm offers.”
