Moray & Agnew has announced that Emma Reilly will be the new managing partner of its office in Canberra.
“We are thrilled to welcome Emma as the new managing partner for our Canberra office and to our national executive team,” said Geoff Connellan, national managing partner at Moray & Agnew.
Reilly will be taking over the role from John Solomon, who had held the post for 14 years, after he decided to focus more on his CTP as well as general insurance practice and clients.
“The partners also congratulate and thank John for his leadership and continued support,” Connellan said.
Reilly has been a highly regarded Canberra partner that had a diverse practice. She acted in defence of professional indemnity and personal injury insurance claims as well as workplace and industrial law matters for employers and the government.
According to her profile on the Moray & Agnew website and her LinkedIn, she holds a bachelor of laws degree from the University of Canberra and a master of laws (government and commercial) from the Australian National University.
She has also garnered multiple accolades in her practice throughout the years, with the latest being her ranking in the 2024 edition of the Best Lawyers in Australia for insurance law, legal malpractice, government practice and litigation.
Reilly will begin her role as the firm’s Canberra managing partner on 1 January.
