A former TAL Life leader has been appointed as chief operating officer and a member of a Sydney-based insurer’s Australian leadership team.
David Campbell will become COO of MetLife Australia on September 17, after serving as general manager for customer operations and underwriting for the past three years at TAL Life. Prior to TAL Life, he held a range of executive roles over his 10 years at CBA and CommInsure, including overseeing group insurance business.
Campbell’s “experience managing large-scale transformation, as well as his leadership skills, will enable him to make a major contribution to our efforts to reimagine the future of claims and underwriting,” said Vince Watt, acting chief executive officer. “David will be integral to realising our vision of providing Australians with the fastest, easiest, and most caring life insurance experience.”
