Meridian Lawyers (Meridian), which provides legal advice in insurance law, health law, corporate and commercial law, workplace relations and safety, and commercial litigation and dispute resolution, has announced 12 internal promotions.
The law firm has promoted employees across its insurance and health law teams as part of its commitment to developing its team members and recognising and rewarding exceptional talent.
Meridian has promoted James Papworth (Sydney) and Homira Haideri (Sydney) to special counsel.
Meanwhile, Paulina Kozub (Sydney), Sheridan Kersey (Brisbane), Alexandra Towers (Melbourne), Lauren Biviano (Sydney) and Jeremy Smith (Melbourne) take on the role of senior associate.
Meridian has also promoted Illana Kraus (Melbourne), Lindsay Sudiro (Melbourne), Roni Aloe (Sydney), Aaron Smith (Sydney), and Jack Davies (Perth) to associate.
Commenting on the moves, Meridian managing director Paul Baker acknowledged the appointees’ dedication and deep client commitment.

In April 2023, Meridian appointed two principals, a consultant, and three associates to bolster its national insurance practice.
