Zurich has announced a new chief financial officer for its Australian business.
The business has appointed Stuart Farquharson to the role
following the move to make Rajbir Nanra CEO of the general insurance business in Australia and New Zealand in January.
Farquharson will join the business from
AIG where he was CFO for the Australian business for more than six years and also recently held regional responsibility for South Asia, greater China and Australasia.
Nanra said that the addition of Farquharson helps to strengthen the business as they look to build on their focused strategy.
“Stuart Farquharson is joining us at an extremely exciting time as we implement our focused strategy,” Nanra said.
“As well as his industry experience Stuart brings a strong track record of strategic and commercial leadership.”
Before his time with AIG, Farquharson held a number of senior positions including CFO with Citibank Australia, Manchester Uniter Australia and
Hollard Insurance Australia.
Farquharson will join the business on 11 July and will be based in Sydney.
