Zurich has announced the appointment of its latest head of commercial distribution.
Anthony Cooper will take on the role for the major insurer and will report to executive general manager – commercial, Adrian Riminton.
Cooper has held a variety of roles in the insurance industry in the strategy, planning and distribution spaces with Lumley,
Suncorp and
IAG and is excited to start his new role.
"I am delighted to join Zurich as Head of Commercial Distribution, covering primarily the SME and mid-market portfolios,” Cooper said of his latest role.
Cooper believes that Zurich can build on the
recent launch of Z.stream Commercial, a tool that allows brokers to bundle policies, to cement its strong foothold in the commercial sector.
“I'm excited by the scope of the role and joining a company that really focuses on understanding and responding to broker needs and developing innovative solutions - an example being the recent launch of Z.stream Commercial which allows brokers to offer their clients a single or bundled solution for Industrial Special Risks (ISR), Liability and Motor risks,” Cooper said.
“These are exciting times and I am looking forward to further developing the commercial distribution strategy."
In a statement to announce Cooper’s new role, Zurich detailed that Cooper’s experience within the industry will be a great benefit to the company.
