Suncorp has announced a host of changes at the top of its commercial and personal insurance businesses.
The insurer said the changes represent the “culture to develop talent and encourage career opportunities across the Suncorp Group,” as they announced three key changes with one vacancy yet to be filled.
Andrew Mulvogue, the executive general manager (EGM) for personal insurance distribution has been appointed EGM of commercial insurance distribution, replacing
Andrew Mair.
Mair will move to EGM of Life distribution for the Group while Gerard McDermott, currently managing director of Resilium, has been shifted to EGM personal insurance distribution to replace Mulvogue.
The company is yet to find a replacement for McDermott for the Resilium post but head of commercial insurance strategy and communications and a director of the Resilium board, Simon Ascroft, will take-over as acting managing director.
Mulvogue, who joined the company in 1998 has been in his current role for five years while Mair has worked in his role for the same period of time and has over 20 years’ experience in the industry.
McDermott joined Suncorp in 2004 and became MD of Resilium in January 2012 when the company was acquired by the Suncorp Group and has held various executive positions including EGM of the direct distribution division of the commercial insurance business.
