Peter Harmer announced the new leadership team. It consists of:
- Ben Bessell, chief commercial officer
- Donna Walker, executive general Manager (EGM), broker business
- Phuong Ly, EGM, agencies
- Stuart Chapman, EGM, niche & direct business
- Andrew Ziolkowski, EGM, underwriting
- Jen Mitchell, EGM, claims
- Andrew Jordan, EGM, strategy, brand & risk
- Malcolm Freeman, EGM, integration
- Fiona Phillips, EGM, transformation
John Ripepi will continue to lead
WFI; Paul Ayton will remain at
Swann Insurance; Carl Johnson will stay with retail business insurance; and James How continues with national adviser services. They will all report to Stuart Chapman, EGM, niche & direct business.
Harmer said this announcement formalises the structure that brings IAG together with Wesfarmers Insurance Australian Underwriting (WIAU).
“Today, we have reached a key milestone in establishing the new IAG Commercial Insurance operating business.
“Our new leadership team brings together people with extensive insurance experience, a deep knowledge of customer and partner needs, and the right qualities to take our business forward to the next level.”
Harmer said of Nagle and Brown: “I want to thank David for his leadership of WIAU, and acknowledge the pivotal role he has played in the significant turnaround of WIAU since 2011. I would also like to thank John for his leadership and contribution to Lumley over the past five years.
“David and John have both shown great support for IAG since December’s announcement, allowing our businesses to form a very positive relationship from the outset.”
