Lockton Companies Australia has expanded its employee benefits footprint nationally through its acquisition of NSW-based Worker’s Compensation Solutions (WCD), which took effect this month.
It is hoped that WCD’s management consulting set of disciplines in workers’ compensation, work, health, and safety, and employee care will help Lockton transition its current offering into a broader people risk offering.
Clyde & Co advised Lockton Australia on its acquisition of WCD, with a team led by partner Dean Carrigan, and consisting of Johann Spies, special counsel, and Rishiv Rathore, associate.
“The investment by Lockton Australia reflects that the market will continue to identify opportunities for consolidation as strategic decisions will be driven by adding greater value and outcomes for clients,” Carrigan said.
