Lockton Europe chief executive Chris Brown is taking on the newly created position of Lockton International president and will be replaced by EJ Hentenaar (pictured) come May.
The soon-to-be Europe CEO currently serves as global financial risks head. Meanwhile Lockton International chief executive Neil Nimmo will transition to the role of Lockton International chair.
“These changes are a testament to the incredible work of the entire Lockton International team and the growth they have created for Lockton,” stated Lockton CEO Peter Clune. “We are evolving our leadership team to ensure our long-term focus and commitment to our associates and clients.”
Under the new international leadership structure, Nimmo will be reporting to Clune and focussing on the growth and success of the following markets: Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America, and MENA (Middle East and North Africa).
Brown, meanwhile, will report to chairman Ron Lockton. His remit spans developing Lockton’s international growth strategy with a focus on the globalisation of the group’s key industry practices.
Commenting on Hentenaar’s appointment, the company’s chair noted: “We are excited for EJ to serve as the CEO of Europe. He is a proven leader and he is respected by our clients, the markets, and our people. EJ will continue to build on Lockton’s success in Europe.”
Headquartered in the US, Lockton is a privately owned insurance brokerage operating in more than 125 countries.
