Lloyd's is encouraging businesses to help people in local communities reach their full potential through its volunteering programme, showcased in a new short film.
The short video talks about Lloyd’s Community Programme (LCP), as well as how the world's specialist insurance market is helping local communities.
The London-based market said LCP aims to build the academic ability, employability, and aspirations of young people as part of its talent priority of attracting and retaining a diverse workforce that will innovate the insurance sector.
Open to companies in the Lloyd’s market, the volunteering programme offers a range of activities participants can get involved in, including one-off workshops around insurance, financial literacy or employability, ongoing mentoring or school partner programmes, and practical hands-on team challenges.
“We have more than 2,300 volunteers from over 60 companies across the Lloyd’s market who take part each year to help 5000+ people through Lloyd’s Community Programme,” Lloyd’s said. “The benefits of volunteering are enormous – from increased job satisfaction, to developing new skills, building your network, improving well-being, as well as sharing skills to help each other.”
