Liberty International Underwriters, part of Liberty Mutual Group, has announced its Asia-Pacific rebrand to Liberty Specialty Markets as it celebrates 20 years of operation in the region this year.
Effective June 21, Liberty International Underwriters in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia will operate as Liberty Specialty Markets, the London-based international commercial insurance brand in the Liberty Mutual Group.
“Our global regions already work closely together,” said Mike Abdallah, president of Asia Pacific. “Coming together as one global brand now makes the breadth of our international business clearer and means we’re working with clients as one brand across all major markets. Many of our product lines are already global offerings, including financial risk solutions, terrorism, surety, and energy. We often support clients with complex multinational operations, so this brand alignment makes us more unified and easier to do business with.”
The rebrand of Liberty International Underwriters to Liberty Specialty Markets across Asia Pacific will not impact the operation of the Liberty Global Transaction Solutions brand.
Other Liberty Mutual commercial insurance operations in Bermuda and Latin America also recently rebranded to Liberty Specialty Markets, as Liberty Mutual Group rationalises the number of brands across the business.
