Marsh has announced that its Energy and Power practices are to join forces in the Pacific region to “create a combined practice focused on helping clients navigate through the significant and wide-ranging risks that can impact their operations and financial success.”
The merger will see Jane Smith promoted to lead of the combined practice in the region with Orla Ryan now moved to head up the Energy sector.
Smith will be responsible for the growth of the new combined practice throughout the region as Ryan will focus on delivering insight and solutions to a variety of clients.
“Both Jane and Orla come with a depth of account management experience and will continue to be responsible for the stewardship of a number of key client accounts,” the company said in a statement.
“They will work closely with Marsh colleagues in the region to enhance the value Marsh brings to our clients. Our Energy & Power Practice provides a platform to execute on our ambitious goals within the full energy value chain and closer alignment with the Global structure will ensure a higher degree of collaboration to the benefit of our clients and colleagues.
“The promotion of Jane and Orla was part of a deliberate succession planning process and signifies the focus on promoting talented individuals from the Marsh team.”
Smith is to be based in Brisbane whilst Ryan will be based in Sydney.
