Aon Benfield, the reinsurance broker of
Aon, has announced the appointment of three new members of staff for its Australian team.
The additions, to the analytics team at the business, will see Kate Bible join as a senior actuary, Jaykishan Jeyendran as a senior actuarial analyst and Alex Alabaster as a catastrophe analyst.
Peter Cheesman, head of analytics at Aon Benfield Australia and New Zealand, said that the company look forward to welcoming the newcomers to the team and singled out Bible for praise.
“We are excited to have Kate join our Analytics team, continuing our focus on empowering clients with the knowledge and solutions to best measure and mitigate risk,” Cheesman said.
“We are certain that her proven track record, progressive approach and industry-leading knowledge of the regulatory regime in Australia and the region will make her a highly successful risk advisor to our clients.”
Bible, who moves to Aon following 13 years at
APRA where she was most recently senior manager in the industry analysis branch, will work closely with clients to help drive Aon’s risk consultation and thought leadership positions.
“I look forward to the opportunity to draw on my experience in industry analytics and the regulatory regime in Australia, while engaging with the thought leadership of Aon’s global risk research experts and market analysis teams,” Bible said of her new role.
Jeyendran joins the Australian team from Aon Singapore, where he worked as a senior member of the actuarial team while Alabaster is an experience exploration geologist who has previously worked with Atlas Iron in WA and will help provide technical knowledge to the catastrophe modelling team.
“This is a remarkable time to be a part of Aon Benfield,” said John Carroll, head of broking, Aon Benfield Australia and New Zealand. "Our new team member appointments indicate our continued focus on empowering and transforming the way insurers navigate data and analytics within the reinsurance and risk transfer framework.”
