Zurich commercial insurance executive general manager, Bobby Lehane, has announced his departure to spend more time with his young family before taking the next step in his career.
Lehane has been responsible for Zurich Financial Services' SME segment since July 2012, and in April this year, his role was enhanced to include commercial insurance. Prior to that, he was the chief operating officer Asia Pacific & Middle East.
Zurich CEO of general insurance, Daniel Fogarty, said: “Bobby has been with Zurich for nearly seven years, in a number of positions both locally and regionally. As the Australian CIO he played a key role in a number of significant developments, and as executive general manager - SME since 2012, he has led Zurich's SME business to continued success. We wish him all the best in the future.”
Nick Dendrinos will be acting in the role of executive general manager – commercial on an interim basis, stepping up from his role as NSW/ACT state manager. Zurich said it will announce a permanent appointment for Lehane shortly.
Marsh manager joins OAMPS
In other news, Tania O’Day has joined OAMPS Insurance Brokers in a new role as national manager – partnerships.
The role was introduced to lead and strengthen OAMPS product and partnership offering.
O’Day joins from Marsh where she was national manager- affinity. O’Day was at Marsh for more than 13 years.
In her new role, she will utilise her extensive skills in the delivery and management of insurance programs to suit member networks, sporting associations and affiliate groups in supporting OAMPS mission to protect more Australians every day.
