The COVID-19 pandemic sure is no laughing matter, but an insurance company known for its humour has released a coronavirus-related advert – one that’s been picked up and featured by Sydney-headquartered media and marketing publication B&T for its funny take on the crisis.  

“Sometimes… you just have to laugh,” wrote insurer King Price in its description of the ad on YouTube. “And luckily, us South Africans are good at that!

“King Price is #UnapologeticallySouthAfrican and proud to be the only insurer to offer premiums that decrease monthly. To us, it doesn’t make any sense to pay the same every month, to insure something that’s worth less every month. When nothing out there makes any sense, we do.”
