It looks like JLT Specialty wants all the bases covered when it comes to cyber – expanding its European cyber practice in London and Stockholm with the addition of four new members.
The latest in a series of major hires, the senior appointments will see Monica Tigleanu, Claire Davey, Anthony Herring, and Jack Elliott-Frey come onboard to beef up the specialist insurance broker and risk consultant’s cyber offering. The new arrivals follow the appointment of Sjaak Schouteren as a partner based in Rotterdam.
Also joining as a partner is Davey, who was assistant vice president in technology E&O (errors and omissions) and cyber liability at Marsh prior to moving to JLT where she will focus on growing its European retail presence. Davey previously served as a broker at Aon where she was mainly in charge of professional indemnity insurance.
Meanwhile Herring, a former cyber practice leader in Sweden for Aon, has been appointed as a broker and will be based in Stockholm. JLT Specialty said his extensive experience in property insurance brings a new perspective to business interruption.
Cyber broker Elliott-Frey, on the other hand, has been snapped up from Aon Risk Solutions. His experience includes time spent at cyber insurance broker Safeonline.
“Modern and constantly evolving online risks require true multi-disciplinary thinking to address effectively and strategically,” commented Sarah Stephens, partner and head of cyber at JLT Specialty. “These welcome additions to our team are the latest demonstration of our commitment to bringing onboard highly skilled individuals from diverse backgrounds such as insurance, business intelligence, and IT.
“Our footprint continues to grow significantly across Europe, where there is clearly heightened awareness of cyber risks due to rising numbers of incidents as well as European cyber and data-related regulatory changes. This latest expansion will help us continue to define innovative solutions for companies in the UK, across Europe, and around the globe.”
