In line with UK government regulations, Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT) has published information on its UK gender pay gap, revealing a median pay gap of 35%, a mean pay gap of 44.1%, as well as a median bonus gap of 64.4% and mean bonus gap of 75.8%.
The data, based on April 2017 earnings, also revealed that a greater proportion of men are in higher-paid roles in JLT, as compared to women, best described as a “talent gap,” the global re/insurer said in a statement.
To improve gender balance at senior levels in the UK, JLT said it is undertaking a number of positive actions, including:
