Berkley Re Australia has announced a new casualty treaty manager for its Australian and New Zealand business.
Tani Alexander will join the underwriting team of the business and will continue the development of the businesses Australian presence.
Tony Piper, CEO ANZ of Berkley Re Australia, said the appointment of Alexander will boost the business thanks to her experience in the market.
“Tani brings her vast casualty experience in both traditional and non-traditional reinsurance which will further enhance our ability to challenge established market practices and provide alternatives to current placements,” Piper said in a statement.
“In this role Tani will continue the delivery of innovative and client focussed solutions that have been successfully rolled out in the last 12 months, as well as developing a deeper relationship with all our valued clients and their brokers.”
Alexander joins the business having worked at global reinsurers
Swiss Re and
Munich Re, with time spent at
Munich Re’s American business.
