Allianz Global Assistance has announced a new member of their C-suite team for Australia.
Michael Maczan took on the role of chief information officer on 1 February and brings over 15 years of IT industry experience with him to the role.
Maczan spent ten years with
Accenture before joining the insurance industry and spent four years as CIO of AGA Germany and was most recently regional head of transformation for AGA Europe.
Craig Dalzell, Acting CEO of Allianz Global Assistance, said the Australian business is delighted to welcome Maczan to the team.

“He is well respected within both the industry and within Allianz Global Assistance globally and we have no doubt that he will be instrumental in continuing to lead the company from strength-to-strength.
“Michael has a solid depth of knowledge and a strong track record of delivering excellent service as well as providing inspirational leadership to his employees. We are delighted that he will now lead the Australian team in the next phase of our development.”
Maczan said that he is looking forward to building AGA’s presence in the region in his new role.
