Zurich has been named as Australia’s top insurer in Insurance Business’s inaugural Brokers on Insurers survey.
The company was ranked as the Insurer of the Year after being ranked first in eight of 11 categories and second in one other. CGU, Chubb, Allianz, Vero and QBE also featured in the top spots.
“We saw a tremendous response to the inaugural Brokers on Insurers survey, with 342 brokers giving up their time to rate Australia’s insurers,” said Insurance Business editor Kevin Eddy. “The results provide valuable insight into what they really think of insurers and what they think are the most important aspects of an insurer’s service. Congratulations to Zurich for coming out on top.”
Zurich general insurance CEO Daniel Fogarty was delighted with the news.
“I’m very excited about these results. They show that brokers appreciate what we’re doing. They are rewarding us with more business -but we know we have more to do.
“Gaining an insight into what matters to brokers is highly valued by Zurich. As an intermediated insurer, we spend all our energy focused on how to better serve brokers and their clients,” he added. “To receive gold over eight of 11 categories and silver in the ninth is a reflection of the value we place on broker relationships.”
