Ace Insurance has promoted Chris Newing to head of travel insurance for Australia and New Zealand.
Newing has held a variety of underwriting, management and operational roles. In his previous position as regional travel operations manager – Asia Pacific, Newing acquired a detailed knowledge of Ace’s travel insurance technology and operational infrastructure.
“This year Ace has commenced exciting travel insurance partnerships with some of Australia’s leading brands,” said Ace’s country president for Australia and New Zealand, Giles Ward.
”Chris has used his operational knowledge and leadership to good effect, overseeing these initiatives and achieving strong growth in the portfolio. In selected markets, Ace is rapidly expanding its travel insurance business and this appointment will support further expansion in the Australian & New Zealand travel insurance portfolio in the coming years.”
