Sartorel’s will oversee the entire region except Australia and New Zealand. He will take up the new position on January 1, 2014.
It is thought he will be replacing David Fried, who joined in February last year and recently moved on.
Sartorel’s successor as CEO of Allianz Italy will be Klaus-Peter Röhler, currently CEO of Allianz Suisse.
The new CEO of Allianz Switzerland will be Severin Moser, at the moment CEO of Allianz Versicherungs AG (property and casualty insurance) and member of the board of management of Allianz Deutschland AG.
Moser will be succeeded by Alexander Vollert, currently member of the board of management and chief operating officer (COO) of Allianz Deutschland AG.
The tasks of Alexander Vollert will be taken over by Manfred Knof in addition to his current duties as member of the board of management of Allianz Deutschland responsible for operations and claims.
