Zurich has named Bobby Lehane as its interim head of claims following the unexpected resignation of its executive general manager of claims, Stephen Brooks.
Lehane is currently Zurich’s SME executive general manager of SME. He will take up the claims role as a result of Brooks’ decision to take a career break after 27 years with Zurich. During Brooks’ time at Zurich, he spent seven years heading up claims.
Daniel Fogarty, CEO of general insurance at Zurich said: “Stephen has added a great deal of value to our business and managed the claims function through many significant and challenging natural catastrophes in our region. He has been a passionate supporter of our business and people and has left us a strong legacy from which we can continue to build. We wish him the very best for his future. This is a very well-earned break.”
In an unrelated move, Zurich’s head of customer care, Darren Trott, has also left the company to become executive general manager of Claims Central, formerly known as Siemsen Group. Trott had been with Zurich for 18 years.
