Andrew Bunting, general manager of claims at Zurich, has announced he will leave the insurer at the end of November
"After 19 years with Zurich, I’ve decided it is time for me to explore the next stage of my career. The timing of my decision is in advance of my annual three-week fishing trip which those who know me will realise is significant to me!” said Bunting.
“I have enjoyed great opportunities within Zurich, however, having joined the organisation at 21 years of age I believe the time is right for me to broaden my career further."
A Zurich spokesperson added that Bunting’s replacement would be appointed “in the fullness of time”. Bobby Lehane remains acting executive general manager of claims.
Bunting’s departure is one of a number of senior-level departures from Zurich in recent months, as former executive general manager of claims Stephen Brooks left the insurer in June. Former head of customer care Darren Trott also departed in May.
