ANZIIF has revealed the line-up of the ninth annual Claims Convention, hosted in conjunction with the Australasian institute of Chartered Loss Adjustors (AICLA).
The AICLA-ANZIIF Claims Convention will be held in Sydney on August 5-6, and will take a focus on many key industry topics such as big data, IT and social media, emerging fraud threats, cyber crime and terrorism.
With the Martin Place siege still top of mind for many in the industry, the convention will host high-profile risk and social commentator Dr Keith Suter alongside the CEO of the Australian Reinsurance Pool Corporation, Dr Chris Wallace, who will present on the terror threat and the impact terror-related claims have on the industry.
Prue Willsford, ANZIIF CEO, said that the event program reflects the diverse nature of the claims and insurance industries in Australia and will give attendees a broader look at trending issues.
“The breadth of the program reflects the number of emerging risks and opportunities that are arising in claims as well as the growing complexity of issues that claims professionals are now managing,” Willsford said.
“The Claims Convention is a fundamental part of ANZIIF’s work to ensure that those working in claims have access and exposure to the experts, ideas and issues that will affect them and their businesses in the years to come.”
