Key Media, publisher of Insurance Business, is pleased to announce the inaugural Insurance Business Awards will be held on May, 04, 2018 at The Westin Sydney.
Following the success of sister events in Canada and the US, the Insurance Business Awards will see Australia’s top brokers and industry professionals come together to celebrate excellence in the insurance industry.
Award categories will recognise the top-performing brokers and brokerages, insurers and underwriting agencies based on a range of criteria focused on customer service and innovation in addition to financial performance. Acknowledging the variety of business models that make up the insurance industry, 25 categories have been developed to highlight the achievements of brokerages of different sizes as well as to separate brokers and brokerages attached to larger international operations from their local independent counterparts.
A comprehensive process involving nominations, industry research and finalist submissions will precede the event with all award winners to be determined by a judging panel comprising insurance industry leaders and senior representatives. The awards night itself will be a black-tie gala-style celebration to be held at The Westin Sydney.
Insurance Business publisher Key Media’s Managing Director for APAC Justin Kennedy explained the decision to introduce the 2018 Awards.
“Over the years we have been able to generate significant engagement with the insurance industry through our various Insurance Business cover stories and a dedicated Awards is a positive next step to build on this,” said Kennedy. “The event provides a valuable opportunity to recognise a broad cross-section of the industry and based on our track record of running awards nights here and overseas – several of which have won industry accolades recognising them as the best - we are well placed to bring this new event to the market.”
