Jerome Upton is no longer a member of the board at Genworth Mortgage lnsurance Australia Limited.
Without disclosing the reasons for his resignation as a non-executive director, the lenders mortgage insurance provider said the departure took effect on September 08. Replacing Upton is Rajinder Singh, the chief risk officer for global mortgage insurance at US parent Genworth Financial, Inc.
“The board would like to thank Mr Upton for his commitment, guidance, and contribution during his eight-year tenure, including during the public listing process in 2014, and for his service on the board of subsidiary Genworth Financial Mortgage Insurance Pty Ltd since August 2009,” stated the ASX-listed company.
Upton, who became part of the board in February 2012, was a member of the audit, risk, capital & investment, and technology committees. Singh, meanwhile, brings more than two decades of risk management and global financial services experience to the post.
