The Insurance Council of Australia (ICA) will host its second insurance forum in Berowra in early April, to provide claims guidance to those affected by the Dec. 20 hailstorm.
The event, to be held on April 2, from 6pm-8pm, will provide policyholders the opportunity to meet face-to-face with insurance company representatives for consultations and guidance on their individual claims.
“Insurers have received 129,756 claims to date, with losses at $1.189 billion,” said Rob Whelan, ICA CEO. “About 80% of claims are for householders with 35,763 domestic home claims and 82,709 domestic motor claims. It’s now three months since the destructive hailstorm swept across Sydney. Residents needing to discuss their claim can be assisted by the ICA team and the insurers attending the forum.”
