Australia's largest general insurer has recruited three new senior marketing leaders to its team, in a bid to strengthen its creative and strategic marketing capability.
IAG, whose stable of brands include NRMA Insurance and CGU Insurance, has appointed Zara Curtis as director of content; Caroline Hugall as group brand strategy director; and Sally Kiernan as NRMA insurance marketing director. All three will report to IAG Chief Marketing Officer Brent Smart.
As director of content, Curtis is tasked to lead IAG’s social media and content function. She brings to the new role a strong background in media partnerships and content production, having led content and creative teams for News Corp, Bauer Media, and most recently FremantleMedia, where she was the general manager of commercial, digital, and branded entertainment.
Hugall will oversee the insurer's brand portfolio strategy and team. Hugall joined the company from New York-based food and beverage giant Mondelez, and has also held senior strategy positions at global creative agencies including Ogilvy, Naked, and Weiden + Kennedy.
In her new role as NRMA Insurance marketing director, Kiernan will lead marketing activity for IAG's largest consumer brand. She brings to the role extensive experience across a range of industries, including senior marketing roles for Vodafone, U-Bank, and most recently as the Group Marketing Director for music streaming platform Pandora.
Smart said the collective experience Curtis, Hugall, and Kiernan bring to the company “is significant and spans a wide range of industries, markets, and customer segments.”
“We’re excited for what they will bring strategically and culturally to both our marketing function and organisation,” he said.
