IAG has announced the appointment of two new executives for its board of directors.
Joining the board as non-executive directors will be Dr Helen Nugent and Duncan Boyle, both of whom come to the position with extensive insurance experience.
Boyle is currently chairman of Dai-ichi Life Australia and a former non-executive of QBE and has held a number of senior roles throughout the industry having worked for Royal and Sun Alliance Insurance in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Europe.
Boyle has also held various board positions with the
Insurance Council of Australia, Global Aviation Underwriting Managers, AAMI and APIA.
Dr Nugent has more than three decades experience in the financial services sector including a stint as the chairman of both
Swiss Re (Australia) and
Swiss Re (Life and Health) Australia.
Currently, Dr Nugent is chairman of Australian Rail Track Corporation and the National Portrait Gallery as well as a non-executive director of Origin Energy.
Elizabeth Bryan, chairman of IAG, said that the company will benefit from the “deep experience” that both Dr Nugent and Boyle bring to the board.
