An HDI media release this morning said Feldmann, who has led the Australian business since 2012, is “the new overall Managing Director HDI Global Australia & New Zealand.”
David Hullin, a member of HDI’s executive board, said this is an important step for the firm.
“Our ability to capitalize on the variety of propositions and vast expertise from across the Commercial and Specialty business will help secure HDI’s long-term strategy in the region,” he said.
Feldmann said this is an ‘’alignment” of HDI’s commercial and speciality operation in the region.
“[This] marks a clear direction towards a more efficient organisational structure and unified value proposition,” he said.
In the release, the new MD said he expected the setup to benefit brokers.
“HDI’s ability to act as a true one-stop shop for clients is now further improved,” he said.
Mark Fleiser, managing director HDI Global Specialty SE – Australia, will be leaving the business under a mutual agreement, said the release, “following a restructuring which has impacted the local HDI operations.”
HDI is a Germany-headquartered international insurance company.
