The Australian branch of international specialty lines insurer HDI Global Specialty SE has announced a pair of internal promotions to newly established senior leadership roles.
Claims manager Kosta Biris has been promoted to head of claims, while delegated authority underwriting manager Peter Gezimati has been promoted to head of delegated authority.
Both Biris and Gezimati are based in Sydney and take up their respective roles with immediate effect. Biris has been with HDI Global Specialty for six years and will oversee the planned objectives of the claims team. Meanwhile, Gezimati has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry and has helped drive the insurer’s portfolio of agency business.
Mark Fleiser, general manager and head of branch of HDI Global Specialty SE Australia, said that both Biris and Gezimati have “have excelled in their current roles and have been driving forces in the delegated authority and claims teams.”
“As they take up their new roles, I am looking forward to working with them on a more strategic level as we continue to look for new ways to build on our service delivery in both our delegated authority and claims management teams,” said Fleiser.
