Global brokerage boosts M&A practice

A former Australasian manager for AIG is to become the pacific head of an international intermediary’s private equity and M&A practice.

Marsh has appointed Janine Fenwick as pacific head of transactional risk for its private equity and M&A practice.

Fenwick joins Marsh from American International Group (AIG), where she held the position of Australasian manager for the insurer’s M&A Insurance Group. 

During her time with AIG, Fenwick was also responsible for the company’s M&A insurance product offerings in emerging markets, which saw her involved in underwriting domestic and cross-border transactions in more than 20 jurisdictions across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.

She is a qualified as a barrister and solicitor in Australia in 2004 and was a Senior Associate with Clayton Utz in Melbourne before relocating to London and joining AIG in 2008.
