Four Gallagher Bassett (GB) clients have been selected as finalists for this year’s WorkSafe Victoria Awards, which honour champions of workplace health and safety in the state.
Making it to the finals stage were GB clients Metcash and Metropolitan Fire Brigade, both for leading return-to-work practice by an employer, Darebin City Council for commitment to workplace health and wellbeing, and Robert Kovacs from the Victoria Police for health and safety representative of the year.
GB said the finalists “achieved significant health improvements in their workplace and have directly contributed to preventing injuries and ensuring their workers return to work.”
“The awards are an incredibly important way of recognising the important work being done by these organisations to improve the health and safety of their workplaces,” said Mark Daniels, GB’s general manager for Victoria.
Winners will be announced at the Worksafe Victoria Awards 2018 gala dinner in October.
