Gallagher Bassett has tapped an experienced insurance leader to support the rapid growth of its general insurance division.
Appointed as national business development manager for GB's general insurance business is Christopher Prabu, who brings to the role more than eight years of insurance industry experience.
Based in the firm's Sydney CBD office, Prabu is in charge of developing long-term organisational strategic goals, building key relationships with intermediaries, maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions, and overseeing the development and growth of all product lines in GB’s general insurance division.
Prior to the GB appointment, Prabu was senior claims advisor within the liability, property, professional, travel, accident, and health lines of businesses. He also served as senior corporate account manager.
Peter Tomkins, GB’s general manager of specialty markets, said that with the rapid growth of GB's general insurance division, as well as its recent appointment as the dedicated claims manager for icare’s TMF and hbcf schemes, they “are excited to welcome Christopher to the team and benefit from his insurance experience across all lines.”
