A claims services provider has announced the appointment of a workers' compensation leader with more than 16 years of industry experience, including in sales and operational leadership, to a new role in its Victorian business.
Mark Daniels, who re-joined Gallagher Bassett about 12 months ago, has been appointed general manager for Victoria workers' compensation.
Daniels first joined GB in 2002 as part of the team overseeing GB’s Victorian start-up. He then pursued other opportunities, including working as the national workers’ compensation manager at Catholic Church Insurance for six years, and was a general insurance broker for three years.
He returned to GB in Feb. 2017 as national development manager for strategic sales, and from March 2018 has been acting as general manager for GB's Victorian business.
“Mark has an extensive background in insurance operations at a state and national level,” said John McNamara, GB managing director. “During his time at GB, he has proven to be an effective leader. We are confident that his expertise will be of benefit to our clients, customers, as well as the GB team.”
