Gallagher Bassett has announced two new appointments – Trevor Govender as general manager of claims and excellence and insights for Australia, and Kim Dunne as operations manager of workers’ compensation in Victoria.
In his new role, Govender, to be based in Brisbane, will drive business insights, and improve and implement existing and new business processes to drive greater efficiencies and service-quality outcomes.
He joins GB after more than 12 years at Sunsuper, where he held a variety of roles, including business intelligence manager, head of information management and, most recently, head of customer service.
Govender “brings a wealth of experience spanning across claims management, service delivery performance and business intelligence,” said Brad Smith, chief operating officer. “These skills will assist us to deliver improved quality outcomes for our customers.”
Dunne, meanwhile, replaces Jane Hunt, who has recently moved back to her home state of South Australia, and will work alongside Stephanie Connolly, operations manager. She joined GB in 2008 as an injury management advisor, and later held the roles of team manager, branch manager, and most recently, claims practices manager.
Dunne “is very well placed to move into the operations manager role,” said Andrew Farlow, general manager of Victorian workers’ compensation. “Her experience with injury and claims management, as well as people management makes her very well suited to work alongside Steph in leading the team.”
