Gallagher Bassett has donated Gentle Bears to support Brisbane Legacy, which provides services to Australian families suffering after the injury or death of a spouse or parent, during or after their defence force service.
The organisation currently cares for 52,000 beneficiaries, including 1,845 children and disabled dependants throughout Australia.
The Gentle Bears will serve as an emotional aid, which will be used in Legacy’s work with defence families and children.
“Our Gentle Bears are a symbol of caring and compassion,” said Jon Winsbury, GB’s executive vice president - international. “Brisbane Legacy does tremendous work to assist families in our defence community and we were really honoured to have delivered bears to this charity.”
The move is the latest of GB’s efforts to support the defence community. GB CEO John McNamara recently inked The Soldier On Pledge to support to the national security community.
