Gallagher Bassett Australia (GB) has appointed company veteran Stephanie Connolly as the head of personal injury (PI) innovation, a newly created role.
The new role aims to leverage the brokerage's existing capability locally and globally to enhance its PI strategies and establish innovative solutions to support best practice and tailored claims management. It is also expected to integrate GBCare into Australian businesses to improve early intervention and recovery outcomes.
Connolly joined GB in 2011 and has worked across the company in several injury management and PI roles. Commenting on her recent appointment, she said: “The ability to collaborate with our operations nationally and with the US team has already demonstrated the drive across the business to embrace innovation and achieve optimal outcomes for our customers.”
“I always say that the highlight of working with GB comes back to the people within the organisation: their commitment, support, and passion,” she continued. “In my 11 years with GB, I can wholeheartedly say I have experienced the recurring themes of business, connection, purpose, and trust that our business embodies.”
Connolly said GB is taking a targeted approach to PI innovation by working within a data-rich environment to inform strategy and delivery of innovative solutions aligned with current and emerging trends.
“At GB, we understand that all claims are different, and so we take a holistic, person-centred approach to PI claims and have developed extensive specialisation and expertise for all injury types and industries,” she said. “This has included the creation of our Mental Health Hub, which drives tailored initiatives and the development of best practice for prevention, early intervention, and complex claims management based on an evidence-based approach.”
So, what's next for GB? Connolly said the company has developed decision support tools and interactive dashboards to drive optimal claim outcomes.
“I look forward to working closely with the team to explore how we can further enhance and expand on these tools nationally,” she said. “Adding innovation and a goal of excellence enhances our ability to respond to claims in a personalised, tailored, and efficient manner, and I'm excited for what's ahead.”
