A third-party claims administrator has forged a long-term relationship with a Perth-based team of return-to-work plan specialists.
Gallagher Bassett has acquired Aurenda, a specialist provider of worker-injury risk-management services, with Deb Macksy, managing director of Aurenda, joining the Perth-based team as part of the transition and to provide executive leadership.
Established in 2002, Aurenda partners with organisations to provide injury management, safety, and training services that will ultimately reduce workers’ compensation costs plus the hidden costs of workplace injury such as temporary replacement staff, overtime, and sick leave.
“The acquisition of Aurenda by Gallagher Bassett will provide many great growth opportunities,” Macksy said. “Both companies share a strong belief in providing high-quality proactive risk management to clients and maximising return-to-work outcomes.”
“The acquisition of Aurenda is an exciting development for Gallagher Bassett, particularly in the Perth market,” said John McNamara, GB-Australia CEO. “We look forward to working with Deb and the Aurenda team and to offering even greater value to their clients.”
